Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Barnes Bay, Bruny Island , TAS
Hi, let me introduce ourselves, Barry and Tracey from beautiful Bruny Island southern Tasmania. We live in an absolutely stunning natural environment. And we’re looking forward to sharing it with fellow travellers and visitors with like-minded interests. We enjoy outdoor activities, in particular our lives are often guided by our love of nature. We enjoy sailing the incredible waterways that Tasmania has to offer, kayaking in our local bay, bushwalking, sharing a meal outdoors especially around an open fire when we’re lucky enough to have that opportunity. Actually we often do, with a fire pit on site! We look forward to travelling, meeting new people, finding beauty in nature as we travel far and wide throughout both Australia and further afield.

Our island home is nestled in the quiet, semi rural village of Barnes Bay. You’ll drive 12 minutes from the ferry terminal, along a country road, glimpsing the teasing views of the waterway know as Barnes Bay.
Our property is centrally located in this small gathering of homes which are situated in North Bruny. Neighbours are quiet and scattered. We are blessed with a large block and a calm, relaxed neighbourhood.
Barnes Bay is a is an idyllic location, a great mix of coastal, rural landscapes. Theres a public jetty and boat ramp and plenty of opportunities for kayaking, birdwatching, fishing, collecting fresh oysters and mussels from the shoreline.
We are offering our self-contained one bedroom space, know to friends as "The Shed", which is separate to our residence with its own entry. There’s plenty of space to spread out and relax after a day exploring Bruny.
This is an original, eclectic accommodation option, which hosts an interior fit out that will keep you interested. We have been collectors for many years, "pickers" is a name that comes to mind! Many of our interesting collectibles are housed in this space. We usually enjoy hosting family and friends and having gatherings in our Shed space.
This is your opportunity to stay somewhere with character and create new memories as you explore this amazing island in Southern Tasmania.
