I am retired but best described as active and engaged in community. I have had the privilege of having traveled extensively, mostly as a free independent traveller. I am passionate about art and currently volunteer at a community gallery where I also take painting classes. Another hat I wear is advocating for access to medicines for a rare genetic disorder my family has. My family have long grown up and flown the nest and live in Australia, Central Coast NSW and ACT, hence the seach for a house swap to spend longer with them rather than an intensive few nights every so often.

My home is a modern ground floor apartment completely self contained with laundry, (behind doors in bathroom) and a well appointed kitchen with good bench space. With visitor parking directly outside and access either through building foyer or directly up the steps to the deck from the footpath. The complex has extensive gardens, pool, gym, cafe and close to a verdant stand of native bush for bush walks along a new boardwalk.
I''ve furnished the place very much to my taste rather than follow a trend reflecting the blues and greens of the coastal livestyle. While it is only a one bedroom apartment it feels spacious. I love to cook and chose it because of the bench space.

Parking is through a secure gate between the two buildings and in a designated space directly opposite door to hallway, (fob required). My apartment opposite this door.

MUST LOVE CAT! One timid black cat who is afraid of men and will suss out someone who doesn't like cats very quickly. She is free range so no need to clean litter box.

Orewa Beach is a 3.3km ocean beach very popular with Aucklanders because of proximity to city. It is home to surfing and watersports. It is located on the Hibiscus Coast where there are a number of lovely beaches to visit within a 30 minute radius.
