Hello! We are an adventurous and fun family of four. Mum - Missy, Dad - Azza and kids - Cooper (5yrs) and Summer (2yrs). We are extremely lucky to live in our magical piece of paradise and often don’t feel the need to leave home, however we have also always loved travelling and exploring new places. We lived in Australia for 10years before moving back to NZ to raise kids. We still call Aussie home too. We started house swapping in NZ a year ago and loved it. We love getting to stay in a homely space and have found it’s a great way to see a new area from a locals point of view. We would treat your home as we would our own - with care and respect.

Come stay in our magical piece of paradise - you won’t want to leave!
Our house is in Governors Bay which is part of lyttelton harbour - 20mins out of Christchurch, New Zealand.
Our 2bdrm 1 bathroom house is a cosy home with incredible views of the harbour, quail island and Mount Herbert. It’s situated on 1acre land made up of native bush, edible gardens of veges and fruit trees, and a creek. There is direct access to Sandy Bay beach through a private walking track (approx 30metre walk).
1st bedroom - super king bed
2nd bedroom -double bed and cot (we could remove the cot and set up another mattress if required.
Bedrooms are upstairs, open planned living/dining/kitchen and bathroom/laundry are downstairs.
We have a woodfired hot tub, bikes and a double kayak to use. We are set up for families and kids and have lots of toys, games, high chair/cot etc.

Governors Bay is a little town in the Lyttelton Harbour nestled against the Port Hills. Governors Bay is a beautiful and quaint town and an ideal holiday retreat with stunning views. Governors Bay activities include boating, kayaking, swimming, hiking and fishing.
Governors Bay is a 20min drive to Christchurch CBD where there are lots of other attractions to explore.
Local tips:
-Take a walk to a private beach at maori gardens (15min walk)
-Choose to hike up one of the endless walking tracks all around the port hills
-Wander down to the local cafe or iconic pub for a drink or bite to eat with the locals
-Bike on the foreshore track around the bay to Allendale
-Visit the Christchurch Adventure Mountain Bike park for some downhill mountain biking
-Visit lyttelton markets (10min drive) on a Saturday morning
-Explore the shops/cafes in lyttelton township (10min drive)
-Feel like city vibes? Drive 20mins into Christchurch CBD to explore the city
-Close to the mountains for skiing/snowboarding - 1.5-2hrs away dependent on the ski field.
