We are a retired couple living in far north Queensland, having moved here after 60+ years, living in NSW. We are both very active in our community with sporting, volunteering & with that is lots of socialising, & since retiring, living the life we love. We both love pets although since the departure of our 2 much loved dogs prior to moving to Queensland, we have opted not to have another pet ourselves but love looking after everyone elses. We love to travel both overseas as well as within Australia, having been very fortunate to have experienced a bit of both.

Built of besser block & rendered, our house is 7 years old & has been designed for entertaining & privacy. It is light & airy & easy care. Two bedrooms are located at the front of the house & are self contained with a shared bathroom. This part of the house can be closed off from the living area ensuring privacy & quiet. The living area is open plan with a functional full kitchen, living & dining areas. There is a cinema room off the living area that can be closed off from the rest of the house. The main bedroom, walk in wardrobe & full bathroom is off the living area & can be closed off from the rest of the house. Flooring is vinyl planks throughout so easy care. Large glass doors in the living room & in the cinema room lead out to an outdoor covered sitting area. A double garage is connected to the house with entry to the house. And we have a pool & an easy care block

Wongaling Beach is one of 4 villages making up Mission Beach region in far north Queensland. Each village is beachside with rainforest, banana farms & sugar cane farms on the outskirts. It is quiet and layback with lots to do or nothing at all. Many walks through rainforests, or boardwalks skirting the beaches or just walk on the beach itself. There are daily excursions to Dunk Island or the reef or fishing from the shore or from a jetty. Swimming is advisable at the local aqua centre or in our pool. 9 hole golf course is just 20 minute drive away in Tully or ElArish, bowls is 3/4 hour drive away in Innisfail
