House Swap with us

We are a couple of semi retired Music and English teachers. We are looking to go to Scotland, Canada and anywhere else in Europe in approximately August to November 2020. Ted is a member of Rotary International, a beekeeper and is actively involved in a bonsai club. Claire plays and teaches woodwind instruments and piano and is learning the viola.

The House

The House

Our home has a large comfortable living space with kitchen, dining area and lounge, 2 bedrooms, one with ensuite, a study with a queen size sofa bed with sprung mattress, and a music room with a single sofa bed. It is all on one level but has steps up to the front and back doors from ground level. It is quite new, finished in December 2021, and stands on a corner block with tree lined streets and our own little mini forest.

The things we love about living here

  • Small tree lined, friendly village with a shop and a pub.
  • Close to a large Redgum forest.
  • Bushwalking opportunities all around.
  • Not far from larger towns, lakes, beach and mountains.
  • Quiet area with friendly neighbours.

The Location

The Location

We are in a very small village with a pub, very good shop/post office, and a cafe open at weekends. Three larger towns are 10, 15 and 25 minutes drive away, with all the facilities you could need including hospital, swimming pools, theatre, etc.
Our village is friendly, full of trees with an extensive forest within 2 minutes' walk, and a reasonable driving distance to mountains, ski areas, lakes and the 90 mile beach.
You would need a car to get around and can negotiate a loan of one of ours.

Claire and Ted's house is located on a quiet street with plenty of vegetation. The house was well maintained and prepared for our exchange. We stayed there for 3 nights as a stopping point for our road trip from Melbourne to Sydney and we had a relaxing time there.
