We are both retired school teachers who have downsized to a one bedroom unit below our home (which is now rented out). We love travelling Australia in our camper van and spending time with our grown up children and grandchild.

A spacious and light filled apartment/unit, containing everything you need for a perfect short-term get away. The open plan living space has timber flooring; a comfortable couch with recliner chairs; ceiling fan; large screen TV and blinds to all windows. The kitchen has just been replaced and has brand new appliances, including a dishwasher. The unit has a separate bathroom with washing machine, large bedroom with built-ins and a ceiling fan. There is a large stackable sliding door from the living room to the outdoors, where you'll find a comfortable north-facing deck with BBQ facilities. The yard is very private with a beautiful green vista.
A cot is available upon request.

Newport is a relaxed and leafy beach suburb in northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales. It is part of the Northern Beaches region - approximately half way between Palm Beach to the North and Manly to the South. It has a great surf beach on one side of the peninsula and beautiful calm Pittwater on the other. There are many golf courses, cafes and restaurants all within a short drive. A ferry trip from Manly to Circular Quay is a must to capture all of Sydney's main attractions.

The house we swapped with Lyn was very comfortable and very spacious for just two of us. Due to the weather (a lot of rain) we didn't venture too far beyond the Newport village but our trip to the Barrenjoey at Palm Beach lighthouse was memorable drive away between showers. There is bus transport very close by but on this occasion we had our own car. The area would be inviting in the Summer as there is a lovely big deck overlooking the sea.
