We are a professional couple with two lovely children, both in Primary school. We have lived in the area for since 2007. We are now experienced house swappers with good endorsements and have had repeated swaps with certain parties.We have made beautiful memories having holidays in areas around Australia. Our home has been custom designed and built in 2024 by a local builder and a local designer. It has a country coastal feel to it with a focus on sustainability, built with reclaimed bricks , solar and fully insulated.
Our kitchen and living area with a vaulted ceiling is the centre piece. We have a large servery openable window to the alfresco area.
We have a medium sized fully fenced yard. We have a basketball ring and an outdoor dining area with a bbq for outdoor entertainment. We have a master bedroom with a queens size bed and ensuite. There are two kids rooms, each with a single bed and a mattress under them. A ping pong table is our latest addition for indoor entertainment.
We have a guest bedroom that is a twin single set up. The local beach and cafes are 1km walk. It is a beautiful and safe neighbourhood. 10 minute walk to the train station ( Westona) and Harrington square (cafe/grocery/restaurant/cocktail bar/grocery). The main hub of Pier st is a 15 min walk away. You will find everything you need there including a Tuesday beach side market, restaurants/cafes/Coles and Altona train station. It is 20 minutes to the Melbourne CBD by car (13kms) or 30 mins by train. There is so much accessible from this area!! We do have 3 Ginea pigs currently. We can organise alternative care for them if that is your preference, they are very low maintenance.

We had an amazing time at Altona . The house was perfect for our family to have a relaxing time. It is nice and close to the beach and lovely eating places. Lauren was easy to communicate with and went beyond being helpful. We had use of their brand new car which made it easy to explore. We had such a great time we have arranged a second swap with Lauren :) :) :)

Lauren and Andrew have a beautiful welcoming home in Altona, and we were made to feel at home. We did a mutual car swap and airport pick up and drop off. What fabulous and helpful service Lauren and Andrew. Having the car made moving around Melbourne and the surrounds very easy and allowed us to make the most of our stay in Melbourne. Lauren was very helpful with tips and information around house swapping, as this was our first, and the swap went very smoothly as a result. Lauren and Andrew went beyond by allowing us to continue to use their car for 2 extra days in Melbourne after they had returned home. We can't say thank you enough for you wonderful generosity, this really did make our stay wonderful. Lauren and Andrew took wonderful care of our dog Pele and sent many pictures of him enjoying himself with their children. Lauren and Andrew left our home clean, tidy, and well cared for. Thankyou again.

Lauren and Andrew were perfect house swappers. They took amazingly good care of our home and our dog. Their home is warm, homely and all you need for a comfortable stay so close to central Melbourne. Easy access to transport and attractions. Lots of good eateries nearby.
