Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN, Gold Coast Hinterland, QLD
We are a family of four, three of whom were experienced house swappers in the mid 90s with a different house swapping organisation, and are right back into it again. We were a professional couple, who are now semi-retired, with some flexibility in the timing of our holidays. Our children are a girl aged 21 and a boy aged 29. Our children have moved out of home but will sometimes accompany us on our swaps, either for part or the whole duration of the stay. We are happy to consider all locations, but we tend to do most of our swapping in south east Queensland or northern New South Wales. We are also happy to take care of your pets and gardens and you can holiday on beautiful Tamborine Mountain comfortable in the knowledge that your pets, gardens and home will be well looked after.

Large, comfortable 2 story Queensland style home on half an acre with plenty of yard space, gardens and free range chickens occasionally supplying fresh eggs. A large covered veranda surrounds the house offering a number of places to sit, relax and take in the scenery. A large deck with a retractable cover offers plenty of space for outdoor relaxation.

Tranquil location in the Gold Coast hinterland with views of the Gold Coast and west to the Great Divide, Tamborine Mountain offers a quiet, mountain village lifestyle with the added advantage of being only a 30 to 40 minute drive from all the excitement and action of the Gold Coast and 1 hour from Brisbane CBD. The major theme parks such as Movieworld, Dreamworld and Wet and Wild are a 20 minute drive away. There is a variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs and wineries for those who enjoy eating out. Tamborine Mountain is a haven for artists and there are many galleries where local and internationally renowned artist's works are for sale. The mountain is also home to a number of rainforest national parks with enjoyable walks and spectacular waterfalls. Local tourist enterprises include the "Skywalk", which is a rainforest canopy walk, "Tree Top Challenge" high ropes adventure park and the Glow Worm caves.

Our family swapped with Andrew and his family in 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our time at their place. Mt Tamborine is a great location and the house is spacious and has beautiful gardens. We loved looking after their little dog and cat as well. They left clear instructions and looked after our place really well too. I would be happy to recommend them

We had a fantastic stay at Andrew and Helen's house. Thanks so much to both of you for providing us with such a lovely place to relax for a week. I think we took full advantage of our time there visiting as many sights as we could and walking all the National Park Trails. A big thank you also for the way you left our house. It was as though we had never been away.
