Hi, we are almost empty nesters with two adult children 18 & 20 who may or may not join us on holiday! My partner and I both work in policy areas in the justice system. Our passions are gardening, cycling and sustainable living. We love to explore new places. We travelled for five month in Europe where we mostly stayed in Airbnb places, so we are very practiced in looking after other people's places! We have family in Sydney who we dearly miss, so we're always looking for opportunities to combine a holiday with seeing family. We're happy to swap with a family, or have couples, or responsible groups of friends stay.

Come and stay at our eco-renovated house! We have 3 double bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and one with a king single. We also have a separate bedroom sized study and a light filled outdoor studio with a pull out double bed. We have two single foam mattresses if additional kids don't mind sleeping on the floor!
There is a separate den/TV room. Our house has a huge light-filled open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with double glazing, soaring ceilings and polished floors filled with beautiful indoor plants opening onto a wrap around verandah and garden. There is also a small laundry with washing machine and dryer and a second toilet. Our house is designed to require minimal heating and cooling, but we have ceiling fans in all rooms, and airconditioning and an efficient gas log fire in the main living area. We have portable column heaters for heating the bedrooms if required. We have a large garden with mature trees and a private paved seating area with a fire pit.
Our place is 2 minutes walk from the delights of multi-cultural Preston, with its fantastic fresh-food market and many restaurants and cafes. The train station is also a 2 minute walk and the trip to the city is 25 minutes.

We live in Preston, a vibrant multi-cultural suburb 10km from Melbourne city. Preston is known for its fabulous fresh food market and many restaurant. Preston is well connected to public transport - trains, buses and trams are all 5 minutes walk from our house. There are also great bike paths into the city and to nearby areas.
