We are a retired couple who live in beautiful Lake Hawea which is in the Queenstown Lakes District. Our house was originally built as our holiday home 30 years ago. We moved here to live permanently 18 years ago. Lake Hawea is a growing area close to Lake Wanaka, and just over an hour from Queenstown. The lake is surrounded on two sides with mountains and is a peaceful place to live.

We are situated in the heart of Lake Hawea township which is near the Mt Aspiring National Park. We are within walking distance to a small supermarket, cafe, hotel, tennis courts, library and playground. We are also close to lake and river tracks for walking or cycling. A ten minute drive to Wanaka which has many outdoor activities, movie theatres, and dining options.
