Hi, We're Liz & Michael. We would like to spend the three winter months (June, July & August) in the Noosa area of Queensland to be near my (Liz's) parents, who live in Noosaville. We are in our 50s and are quiet, non-smokers. We love gardening, so your plants will also be well taken care of. We have owned our own home for the last 16 years, so are very familiar with taking care of a house and garden. Michael works in IT and Liz is an EFL teacher and also does occasional translation work. We both love riding our bikes, both for daily transport and getting out into the countryside on the weekends. Michael's hobbies are tinkering with bicycles, listening to podcasts and playing the piano, while Liz's are anything to do with gardening and cooking, and reading, sailing and learning languages. We would treat anyone's home with the same care as we treat our own. We would be happy to chat on Zoom in order for you to get a first impression of us. Our house is great for two people plus occasional guests. It's rather old-fashioned with only the essential mod-cons. We find it cosy and comfortable and very warm in winter with the wood-burning stove. It has stairs up to the 2nd floor and the attic, and down to the cellar. Our garden is small and fairly low-maintenance - it just needs some watering in summer.

We live in the north of Hamburg. It's very green and quiet, though shops, restaurants and doctors etc. are close by. It's also only 15 mins from Hamburg airport or 30 mins by car or train into the city centre. It's great for those who love long walks or riding bikes as the Alster River is very close as is the huge Hamburg park cemetery (absolutely beautiful despite the graves!).
