House Swap with me

I am a single woman, retired social worker of 75 yrs with 2 adult children, a daughter living nearby and a son living more remotely further north. I"m involved in Biodynamics FNQ, a farmers and gardeners group, I enjoy Tai Chi classes and practice yoga. I'm an avid reader and like to sew. In the dry season, I visit my son and family about 4 and a half hours drive north on the coast and stay usually for a few weeks at a time.

The House

This is a wooden house built around 1920s on a house block with sheds and parking up the back. There are large shady trees in front and back with native birds. The house is high set at the front with 6 steps at the back. There is a self contained flat underneath, rented by a very quiet male friend. I have 5 chickens who free range on the block which is fenced. Visitors are welcome to the eggs and the downstairs tenant looks after the chooks. There is NBN and WiFi but just an ordinary TV.

The things I love about living here

Walking distance to supermarket , cafes and best restaurant in Tablelands.
In historic small village with plenty of long and short scenic walks;
In World Heritage Wet Tropics region - waterfalls, rain forest, Lakes, swimming
V. Good food options in area - cafes, markets, award winning IGA in Atherton.
750 metres ASL means much cooler and less humidity than the coast.

The Location

Yungaburra is a small village in the World Heritage Wet Tropics region. Atherton Tablelands. Cooler than the coast, 750 metres above sea level. Lake Barrine Tea House and Lake Eacham, both old volcanoes and both 15 minutes drive away. Lake Tinaroo is largest lake man made and accessible 10 minutes drive away while Atherton is nearest town, 15 minutes drive. Monthly markets in Yungaburra, Malanda and Tolga.
