House Swap with us

We are a family of 3 and have lived in our house by the sea for 3 years now. We are keen to explore other parts of Victoria and have friends and family in the inner city and Geelong so always keen to spend time there. We would love another family who is after a sea/tree change to feel welcome and comfortable in our home. Pets welcome.

The House

The House

Comfortable family beach house a short walk from Somers beach. With a large verandah at the front and doors that open out from the bedrooms it's a bit like a small Queenslander and has loads of personality. There are two main bedrooms, both with queen size beds and a large studio out the back that can easily sleep another three people with a fold down double futon couch and single day bed. Beside that is a vintage caravan with a double bed and small kids bunk. Outside there is a BBQ, trampoline and swings with plenty of space for kids to run around. The backyard is also fenced to keep a dog in. Inside there is a split system and open fire.

The things we love about living here

  • Somers is a quiet coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula. We love walking our dog on the beach and the quiet laid back pace of Somers. The locals are friendly and there is a great general store/cafe/gift shop right at the top of the beach stairs which serves delicious food and coffee from 8am-4pm daily. We are a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to local shops, restaurants, wineries and bars in nearby Balnarring, Merricks, Shoreham and Red Hill. Somers is home to koalas, possums, echidnas, amazing birdlife and a pod of friendly dolphins who occasionally make an appearance at the local beach.

Jenny and her family have a cosy, comfy, funky home in Somers. The beach is just at the end of the street and the corner store is an easy stroll for coffee of a morning. Communication with Jenny was friendly and simple and I would recommend anyone wanting a relaxed beachy holiday to swap with her family.
