Our house is in a new eco development in Northcote, Melbourne. We're close to the Merri Creek, within easy walking distance of two tram routes that will take you into the CBD in 25 minutes. On the ground floor there's a big kitchen/living/dining room leading out to a pretty back garden and dining area, together with a study, laundry, powder room and garage. On the first floor there are 3 queen and 1 double bedroom, one with an ensuite with walk-in shower, a second bathroom and a large living area. The house has solar and mains power and our development includes lots of green areas and walkways.

Our suburb of Northcote is very lively. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, live music venues and two cinemas (one in a converted garage). 5 minutes from us, over a beautiful swing bridge, is Ceres environmental centre, which includes two cafes, a nursery, market garden, adventure playground and bike repair workshop. There's a public golf course just up the road. We're also 25 minutes away from the centre of Melbourne which caters for every interest!
