Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Mount Eliza, Mornington Peninsula , VIC
We are a family of 5 (kids aged 5,6 and 9). I am a university lecturer and my husband works in university partnerships. We live in Mount Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula surrounded by many beautiful child friendly beaches and nature walks. We are also a 1 minute walk from the Mount Eliza village where there are great cafes, restaurants and gorgeous shops. Our home is a kids paradise, with a huge back yard set up with a very large trampoline, cubby house, sand pit, bikes and scooters etc. We have 3 goldfish and that’s all for pets. We holiday in Noosa every Christmas and this year we will be there from December 20-26. This year we would love to extend our holiday by staying on the east coast of Australia for a bit longer in a house swap arrangement. We are flexible in terms of how long the house swap would be but we are thinking around a week. My husband would be working from home during this time so internet connection would be important. We would love to find a house with a swimming pool but this is not a necessity if there are other swimming options close by eg a child friendly beach.

Mount Eliza is a seaside suburb on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, 42 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District. It is the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula which has long been a favourite destination for coastal holidays. Surf beaches await whilst seaside restaurants and local markets provide an array of places to eat and drink. It also has adventure gardens, marine activities and iconic attractions including the Peninsula hot springs and day spas, horse riding and kids farms. The region's golf scene is excellent to enjoy throughout all seasons of the year. There are countless wineries and cellar doors at which you can find your next favourite drop. There are several beaches and bays located in Mount Eliza specifically, which include Canadian Bay, Daveys Bay, Half Moon Bay, Moondah Beach, Ranelagh Beach and Sunnyside North Beach. In addition Mount Eliza is also home to the Moorooduc Quarry Flora and Fauna Reserve and several creeks with wonderful walking trails. The local village is a 1 minute walk away and has everything you could need including great restaurants and local produce.

We had a wonderful house swap with Sonya. The house was in a great location for the Mornington Peninsula and the CBD of Melbourne and surrounds. Mount Eliza is a cute village full of retail gems. The area was quiet and the house was very comfortable for relaxing.
