House Swap with us

Hi there! We’re a family of four who started our journey when my husband and I met in America. I’m originally from the U.S., and my husband is from Australia. Seven years ago, we moved to Point Lonsdale to care for his wonderful parents, who were both in their 90s at the time. It was a special chapter in our lives, but with their recent passing, we’re now ready to explore more of this beautiful country we now call home. Our home is unique, as it’s a multi-generational space. We have two separate living quarters, which means we’re lucky to have two kitchens and two lounge rooms, offering both privacy and plenty of room for everyone to relax. It’s been the perfect setup for our family’s needs over the years. We have two children, our daughter Daisy is almost 10, and our son Jai is 11. They’re both full of curiosity and excitement for new adventures. Rounding out our family is Honey, our sweet 2-year-old dog. She’s a mix of poodle, Westie, and Scottie, and she keeps us all on our toes with her quirky spirit. We haven’t traveled much in recent years due to the care needs of our elders, but now that things have changed, we’re looking forward to swapping homes and discovering new places across Australia! Warm regards, Karen and Simon

The House

Welcome to our spacious and cozy home nestled on a large, private block in a quiet court. With 1/3 of an acre to enjoy, Our home has been thoughtfully redesigned over the past seven years to comfortably accommodate two families. The unique layout offers two separate living areas that can be opened up to flow together or kept private, depending on your mood or needs.

On one side, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, a lounge room, and a room that is currently being used for massage but could potentially be converted into another bedroom by the time of your stay. We’re still working on this space, as it used to be our in-laws’ room. The other side of the house features another kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms, and a large lounge room with a fireplace, perfect for cozying up in the cooler months.

Outside, the backyard is a haven for kids and adults alike. There’s a large trampoline, monkey bars, and plenty of space to run and play. We also have a beautiful geodesic dome that I use for my weekly women’s circles, creating a peaceful space for reflection and connection.

We take pride in keeping our home clean and free from clutter, and you can expect a fresh, welcoming space when you arrive.

Our home is just a 10-minute walk to the beach, a 2-minute drive, and a short bike ride to local shops, restaurants, cafes, and a charming wine bar. The neighborhood is quiet, and the large block offers plenty of privacy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway or family adventure.
