House Swap with us

We are a retired couple who have lived in Castlemaine for 12 yrs. We love our community where there is always something happening - live music, cinema, art exhibitions and numerous cafes. There is a wonderful choice of eateries, weekly and monthly Farmer's markets, monthly Artist's market, galleries, museum, library, historical sites inc the historic homestead Buda, bushwalks, cycling tracks, botanical garden/parks, golf courses, supermarkets, gymnasiums, taxi service, string orchestra and choirs. The House - Two bedroom house with a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. Heating, internet, TV, dishwasher and washing machine. NW facing rear deck and a double garage. We are on a small block approx 25min walk into town, with a small area of lawn. There are garden beds and pots which are set up with an irrigation system. We have 4 silkie bantams (Aggie, Ellie, Lulu and Harriet), and their chook-house has an automatic door, a feed-bin that only requires topping up every 7-10 days (approx). Easy access to Melbourne by train - more than 20 trains/day (1 1/2 hrs). Easy access to Bendigo by train (25mins). 1/2 hr drive to Daylesford. Where we would like to holiday - Beechworth, Bright area. Dates - mid March to mid May 2025 (approx 8 wks). Swap type - simultaneous. No smoking, no dogs please (the latter because of the chooks). We love cycling, canoeing, swimming, frequenting cafes, wineries, going to the cinema and singing/listening to classical music.
