House Swap with us

We live 6km from Brisbane’s CBD in the leafy suburb of Alderley. A 15min drive into town, with buses on the doorstep and the train a short walk away. Our three bedroom house is a heritage-listed home, with many of the art deco features retained. We are surrounded by gardens with a deck that overlooks Mt Coot-tha. Off Street parking (carport and drive-way) for two cars.

The House

A 1935 weatherboard home that has a picturesque cottage look with many period features. It has a homely feel, with lots of natural light and rooms that look onto gardens. A modern kitchen and bathroom, with separate toilet. A large deck area where you can relax on the outdoor settee or dine.
Three bedrooms, plus a study room plus a separate study nook.

The things we love about living here

  • A quiet and leafy neighbourhood that has easy access to walking / cycling tracks along the Kedron bikeway plus public transport into the city.
  • A quick drive to popular Samford valley and hikes in national parks.
  • There’s an organic farmers market every Sunday in nearby Wilston, and great local cafes / restaurants.
  • Reading in our bay windows!

Alderley is a leafy and hilly suburb that is filled with lots of character homes, parks and close to Kedron bikeway. There’s some great cafes nearby.

We neighbour other very popular suburbs liked Grange (social bowls club, public library), Ashgrove (many cafes, restaurants, shops), Newmarket (pool, waterslides, cinema, shopping centre) and Wilston (organic farmers market & shopping village).
