Retired couple, both 72 years old now enjoying our home on Southside. Experienced exchangers around the world (more than 25 years exchanging in total). Jock has a work history in the Military, Police, Business management (accommodation), politics and writing (author) while Trish has a history in the medical field including Dentists Nurse, experienced AIN(aged care) and business management.

House is quite large, very comfortable, in a quiet street which are all in Southside just across the Mary River from the historic gold mining town of Gympie. It’s a very agreeable spot.
The house is very secure with internal vehicle parking for our Mazda CX5 AWD, diesel SUV. Lawns are mowed each fortnight by contractor.
We have only been here for 18 months and still have a bit to do to finish the outside off to our liking. The large concrete pool at the rear of the quarter acre property is private, fully auto regulating (salt water) and has a drive around vacuum system that keeps the pool clean when used, usually only once each fortnight or so. The tiled pool surrounds are in place but the landscaping is a work in progress and in the planning stages.
All rooms have remote ceiling fans, windows are white louvred, carpet in each bedroom and lounge with floor tiles in the rest. Very large sliding doors out to rear patio, also with ceiling fans and sun shades and BBQ plus outdoor lounges.
Extremely low maintenance with perhaps a sprinkle of water around the shrubs, etc, if it’s warm weather.
Roof supports a top of the range solar system that will keep power bills down (obviously we pay the bills, not you, but the solar does make a big difference.
Master bedroom has large ensuite. Second bathroom is also very large with walk in rain shower and full size bath. Bud configuration is master King, 2nd Queen, 3rd two king singles and the 4th is used as an office and computer room. There is a fold out queen size lounge in the lounge room. Sleeps 8 comfortably.
TV in dining room, lounge room, master bedroom and second bedroom. All wall mounted and smart TV’s. Large split cycle in lounge and slightly smaller one in master bedroom. Both cooling and heating and more than adequate. All bedrooms, lounge and dining have remote DC ceiling fans as well.
Oven and cooktop are electric. Large fridge/freezer in kitchen with second fridge(s) in carpeted double garage.
And that’s about it. It’s nicely located, relatively new, in a quiet street and very comfortable.
We lived on the Sunshine Coast off and on for over 40 years but have chosen Southside as a quiet alternative. We have house swapped throughout the world since 2000, including 2 years throughout Europe in various countries so although new to this site we are very experienced exchangers and travellers.
