We are a professional couple aged 40, with two lovely children aged 5 and 7. We love travelling, food, cooking, gardening, bush walks, family holidays and having adventures. We get away regularly with our family, and love a mix of types of holidays and accommodations.

The House

Our home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of West Footscray, 9km from the city. We have three large bedrooms and one bathroom. Our home is warm, colourful and has everything you need to enjoy your time in Melbourne. We have a large backyard with a BBQ, outdoor furniture and a trampoline along with a vegetable garden. We have whole of house gas heating, a reverse cycle air conditioner in the lounge room, and evaporative cooling throughout the whole house.

We live at home with our two young children (5 and 7) and our labradoodle dog.

The childrens rooms can sleep 4 people (one single bed plus mattress and a double bed) and have lots of books and toys. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a desk.

The things we love about living here

West Footscray is a wonderful community, with lots of green spaces, cafes, restaurants and our favourite wine bar (2 minute walk). There is a bus (2 minute walk) and train (10 minute walk) and both access nearby Footscray (5 minutes) and the city (15-20 mins). There is a local large and well stocked IGA and two shopping centres close by - Central West (Aldi, Coles, food places etc) and the much larger Highpoint (whole shopping centre).

The Location

Barkly Street shops is around the corner from our home. You can find grocery stores, wine bar, cafes, bakery, restaurants, yoga, medical centre, pharmacy, gym, library etc all within 1-5 minute walk.
There are multiple local parks, playgrounds, a large oval very close by and a shopping centre only a five minute drive.

Footscray is a stones throw and has many many shops and reataurants, bars, pubs, clubs, grocery stores, kmart etc.

We also have a monthly farmers market a few minutes walk from the house.
