Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in St Catharines, Niagara Falls, ON
I am a senior lady, mother to 2 adult daughters and grandmother to 4 perfect (most/some of the time) grandchildren. I enjoy an active lifestyle - pickleball, kayakking, cycling, hiking, but can also find great joy in a good book. I am a passionate foodie who loves to entertain. I have enjoyed over 40 exchanges and have made some wonderful new friendships around the world. One daughter and her family live in Terranora NSW and I am seeking exchanges closeby during January - April each year. I am happy to consider non-simultaneous exchanges for 2 week periods, although I prefer not to welcome guests in July or August.

My 3-level 1800 square-foot townhouse is located on the shore of a large fresh water lake, just 10 minutes along the lakeshore from Niagara-on-the-Lake, reputed to be "the prettiest town in Canada". I am only 15 minutes from Niagara Falls, and just over an hour from Toronto.
A pretty garden courtyard welcomes you to the front door, opening into a small foyer, with a bright kitchen and small sitting area. The living room, with fireplace, and dining room have French doors that open onto a patio and a large expanse of grass and gardens beyond, overlooking an uninterrupted view of the 26 mile wide lake.
Upstairs, the master bedroom (king bed), with ensuite bath and walk-in closet commands the same glorious view. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite.
On the lower level, the sitting area offers a TV and piano and tucked away in a private alcove is a queen bed. This level also provides a bathroom with shower and laundry room.
Shared outdoor pool and tennis/pickleball courts are just a few steps away.

My home is situated on the shore of a large fresh water lake, offering unobstructed water views and magnificent sunrises and sunsets.
Nearby Niagara-on-the Lake is a wonderful spot to picnic, browse in the up-market shops, dine in world class restaurants, enjoy some spa time, or take in some theatre at the renowned Shaw Featival Theatre. Niagara Falls is only 15 minutes away, and home to casinos, restaurants, and many tourist attractions. Toronto is just over an hour away by car or train.
The Niagara region is gaining international renown as a viticulture and culinary destination. Grand sophisticated wineries or small family estates welcome visitors for tours, tastings, and special concerts and theatre events. The variety of destinations along the culinary trail will put a smile on any foodie’s face.
Whatever the season, Niagara offers lots of opportunity for walking, cycling, and hiking. Niagara has over 40 beautifully landscaped and challenging course for golfers of all levels.
But do not discount a visit in wintertime. It can be great fun and undeniably beautiful. You can drive to a great ski resort in 1.5 hours or visit the wineries for a taste of our famous Canadian icewine. And Niagara Falls turns into a fairyland when the mist freezes on the trees.
The US border is close-by, giving access to further vacation opportunities, perhaps New York City or Boston, an easy flight from Buffalo airport.
