Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Dawesville, Mandurah, WA
We are a retired couple living in Western Australia. We were both born in England but met and married in Sydney. We have spent most of our life in Australia and have previously run our own businesses but have decided that life is too short to keep working. Lyn takes advantage of the local fitness classes at Timbers Edge and Ray plays golf at The Cut south of Mandurah, we both enjoy walking and cruising. Had our first exchange in 2014 with a couple from Devon, England which worked out very well. In Oct 2017, we returned from a 12 month swap in South London which gave us excellent access to both central London and Gatwick airport for flights to Europe etc. We also carried out a number of house-sits whilst there. We have also recently completed a short swap in NZ We are both house-proud and treat house-swaps and house-sits as our own. We are also happy to look after garden maintenance. We have joined AussieHouseSwaps as it offers access to far more swaps near home.

Our 7 year old home, situated on The Timbers Edge Resort, is 10 minutes from the centre of Mandurah, with local shops, beaches and walks by the Estuary. It is close to the Cut Golf Course, a challenging links course overlooking the Indian Ocean

Our home has a master bedroom with queen size bed, en-suite toilet/shower and walk in wardrobe. There is a guest bedroom with adjacent bathroom, modern kitchen, 6 seater dining room, lounge and library/reading room. It is equipped with modern appliances including large screen TV with surround sound, high speed internet, computer and WiFi. Bedroom 3 is currently used as a study but can have a small single bed.
Outside is a large patio area for entertaining, BBQing and enjoying the beautiful WA weather. The patio, with its drop-down blinds, overlooks a large, attractive common garden area with plenty of birdlife and native vegetation.
For those who like beaches, there are several almost deserted ones within 5 minutes drive. Swimming, surfing and beach fishing are common activities.
10 minutes walk away is Warrungup Spring Reserve which is an excellent spot for birdlife, with Osprey nesting there. For further information check out https://thedawesyhub.com/great-outdoors/warrungup-spring-reserve/
