Semi retired couple. She (Alex) loves to cook and enjoys swimming and gardening. He (Michael) enjoys cycling, surfing and fishing. We like going to sporting events, theatre, comedy and live music. Love visiting new places. Enjoy holidaying in cold climates.....bit of a novelty for us Queenslander's!!! Also interested in Northern Australia in the winter months. Open to short term local swaps.

The House

3 bedroom plus study apartment encompassing the entire top floor of a 3 storey walk up building. Large open plan kitchen, lounge, dining and balcony area. Nice views over Broadbeach skyline. Master bedroom with king size bed, ensuite and balcony with variety of potted herbs. Second bedroom with queen size bed. 3rd bedroom has a day bed set up that converts to a king size bed. Study has a small balcony also.

The things we love about living here

Very central. Patrolled beach 250 metres. Broadbeach Bowls Club 100 metres. Corner grocery store 50 metres. Several cafes within 200 metres. Centre of Broadbeach is a 10 minute stroll where there is countless restaurants, lots of bars and shops, Star Casino, Convention Centre, Woolworths supermarket. Florida Gardens Tram Station is 200 metres where you can head south to Pacific Fair or north to Surfers, Southport or to Helensvale to connect to the Brisbane train.

Recently swapped houses with Michael and Alex I had an opportunity to stay with them one night before they left to come and stay in our place in New Zealand so it was good to get to know them a little bit We swapped houses and we swap cars we had a really amazing time at their home and Broadbeach, which is about 200 m or so from the sea and not very far from Transport and Pacific Fair for shopping We stayed for 11 days and we sad to be leaving when we arrived home. Michael and Alex had left that morning to continue their New Zealand holiday. We kept in touch with WhatsApp which worked very well. We came home to a lovely tidy home and from what I understand they had an amazing time in Nelson They were sad to be leaving New Zealand . I think while they were away they enjoyed quite a bit of snow further south overall I think it was a really great swap and we would love to do something similar again, maybe in the future , highly recommend this couple to anyone thinking of doing a swap regards Marshall and Clare
