Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Port Kembla, Wollongong, NSW
Hey there! We're a family of four who absolutely adore the simplicity of life, nature's wonders, wholesome food and meaningful connections. We are blessed with two amazing little boys, Sensen and River, who joined our family in 2021 and 2023. I moved to Australia from China in 2008 as an international student and have been living here happily since then. I visited nearly 30 countries in my 20s and early 30s. Now I relish in my role as a full-time mum. Graham, the tech support of our family, works from home as a full-time software engineer. We're happily nestled in the scenic Port Kembla, a gem in the Wollongong region.

Our double-story, double brick house is perfect for big family adventures. Bring along the in-laws too, as we've got a second kitchen and dining area. It's airy, fully fenced, and has both front and back access. With 4 roomy bedrooms (2 with queen beds and 2 with 2 single beds each) and a home office (complete with a single daybed), there's space for everyone. We've got 2 spacious bathrooms and 2 separate toilets to boot. Being a family that loves to cook, our kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials and a variety of spices. We also have 2 bikes.

Port Kembla is a gem in the Wollongong region. Just 1.5 hours away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney (a city I visit quite often via train, especially with our eldest), Wollongong is a vibrant city that's a favourite among Sydney's crowd. It's a place where you can enjoy all the perks of a big city—minus the gruelling traffic and lengthy commutes. So much to explore and experience here!
Attractions (within 15 minutes drive) include Cringila bike park, UOW discovery space (a fantastic kids museum), snorkelling at Bushranger’s bay, kayaking at Windang or Illawarra lake, an extensive bike track from Port Kembla to Wollongong to Bulli and down to Windang, hiking at Mt Keira, stunning views of the whole Illawarra region from Hill 60 in Port Kembla, making a wish at the biggest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere, Nantian temple, numerous parks with recently upgraded playgrounds (Reddal reserve, Stuart park) and the peaceful Wollongong botanic garden, overlooking the steelworks from the historical Wentworth street in Port Kembla or joining the steelwork tour.
