Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Buderim, Sunshine Coast , QLD
We are a family of three, our daughter being in university now and will join us occasionally for holidays as will my mother, Carol, who lives in an attached self contained granny flat downstairs. I, Sue, work in the local Post Office and Darren is an electrical engineer in management with Energy Queensland. We have lived on the Sunshine Coast for about 25 years and love the relaxed environment and outdoors lifestyle. It has been a safe and happy place to bring up our daughter. We are currently looking for somewhere to stay for Christmas or December/January ,preferably Tasmania or the South Island of New Zealand but are open to offers of location and time.

Our home is a multilevel 4 bedrooms house (one room is currently used as a multipurpose room) and 2 bathrooms. It’s in a quiet Cul de Sac on a sloping block although the backyard has been levelled into 2 flat areas and backs onto a park, bringing a variety of birds and occasionally kangaroos into the area. It is great being able to sit on the deck watching the sunset over the glasshouse mountains. We have a pool, bikes, kayaks and paddle boards available for use. We are a 20 minute bike ride or 7 minute drive to Mooloolaba beach and only 30 minutes from Noosa to the north and Caloundra to the south. Brisbane airport is only an hour away by car.
We have a new Kia Stonic that we are happy to include in the swap.
Our cat, Ziggy, is easy to care for with dry food and water in the morning, and after she is shut in for the night. Neighbours can look after her if you are away for anytime.
Prior to the Covid lockdowns, we completed 3 house swaps and really love this relaxed style of holiday; living in a location, exploring the local areas and supporting local businesses. On all previous swaps, we enjoyed the company of local family, neighbours and friends and have even looked after neighbour's places and pets while they have gone away. Our daughter has also made good friends with children in the neighbourhood. We care for the homes we stay in and are very mindful when using power and equipment.
