The things we love about living here

• The street we live is very quiet with no through traffic. Lake Illawarra is 400 metres away and has a walking/cycling track that takes you around the Lake. There you will see the local birdlife and 2kms from the home is a boat ramp for launching small vessels for fishing, rowing or water skiing.
• At the other end of our street, just 300 metres away, is a bus stop that takes you to the old steelworks township of Port Kembla, where you can check out the architecture of the 1950's when the town boomed during is heyday as being an industrial port. Now it is home to cafes, restaurants, a yoga centre, a nightclub and art gallery precinct. Another bus stop 800 metres away takes you to the city centre of Wollongong, where you can walk to the lighthouse, sea pool and many restaurants that line the foreshore (see photo). Wollongong is also home to the Merrigong Theatre, Art galleries and Indigenous cultural centres. If wanting to travel further afield, you can catch a bus to the train station 5kms away and travel up to Sydney. 80% of the trip is through the Royal National Park so settle back and enjoy the view. Trains run every hour from dawn until midnight. If driving by freeway up to Sydney, you can take the M1 Motorway.
