We are John, Emmanuelle and baby Olive. We moved to Tasmania from Melbourne in 2020 and love our life in this little pocket of the world surrounded by our garden and community! We have been settling in and welcoming our new addition to the family and are now keen to getaway on little trips in other parts of Tasmania. We love the connection to place and other families that house swapping is able to offer and add to our adventures. We love gardening, going to the beach and swimming, walking, cooking and gathering around a table with friends and family.

Experience picturesque coast and green hills in a lively country town, only 50 min south of Hobart.
Our house is conveniently located within walking distance of Cygnet main street and shops, across a park (Burtons Reserve) and within 15min drive of incredible beaches!
Our block is 1400m2 and have lots of garden beds and young fruit trees. The house was originally from the 1900's and we completed a significant renovation in 2023, adding light, space, warmth and views. We have a large deck facing the garden. While we are still working on building storage, the house is super comfortable with triple glazing and an effective fire place for winter. We also have two electric heaters that can be used as a supplement.
We currently have two bedrooms set up in the main house, one with a queen bed and a smaller room with one or two single bed mattress(es) on the floor best suited for children.
We also have an independent studio on the block looking out to the garden and trees, all set up with a kitchenette and bathroom that can serve as a living space or bedroom for extra guests or family members. More details about that space can be found on AirBnb (details provided on request).
