Our small, two bedroom worker's cottage was built in early 1900 and is part of Brisbane's history. It features a new, modern kitchen with dishwasher and induction cooktop, original wooden floors and a large deck for relaxing or entertaining - the deck dining table can accomodate up to 14 people if you want to entertain. The living room and master bedroom have air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The second bedroom has a ceiling fan and couch which folds out to a comfortable double bed. We have a walk-in shower and 2 study nooks. Our house is small but very comfortable, querky and inviting - a great placed to relax, explore Brisbane and to entertain.
We have veggies that may need watering in hotter weather, but you are welcome to help yourself. We also have 4 chickens who love fresh veggie scraps and who usually provide 4 eggs per day for you. They have large food and water containers, so only need minimal care. Our neighbours will collect the eggs if you choose to go away for a few days whilst staying.

You cannot ask for a better Brisbane location than this! Although our house and street are super quiet, Stones Corner is very much inner city living, which means you can walk to everything. You are close to Stones Corner Shops, large local (heated) pool, very popular entertainment and restaurant strip, museums, art galleries, Southbank Parklands, bikeways, casual dining and Dendy cinema complex, the Gabba Stadium plus all the inner-city amenities you could need!

Justin and I spent an enjoyable week in mark and Karen’s comfortable and interesting home amongst the fantasy characters of various famous authors. The house was ideally located close to cafes and restaurants, and bus routes quickly taking us to the centre of Brisbane, Southbank and other areas of city. The area was really quiet considering the proximity to the city, and had extensive parkland and green space close by. We came home to a very clean and tidy house. The swap experience was flawless and we recommend swapping with Mark and Karen.
