Light filled, elegant & comfortable detached 1920's Californian timber bungalow in a very quiet street in Clifton Hill. Central heating and reverse cycle air con in every room. Live and feel like a local in this prized location. Two large bedrooms with queen size beds. (Also available is a comfortable couch with a fold out double bed). You will have our entire home including the very private large rear undercover (opening louvre roof) timber deck area just to yourselves. Fantastic location (4 km to city), with all your public transport needs; trams, trains & buses five minutes walk from our home. (We also have 2 bicycles).This the perfect base to experience and explore Melbourne's cultural attractions.

Our 1920's home is in Clifton Hill, a small suburb located in the City of Yarra. It is very quiet area bounded by major roads. We have two train lines that converge at Clifton Hill station, plus bus and tram stops very close by. For us we love the convenience of being close to the vibrant city centre but equally treasure the short walk to a huge area of parkland with active birdlife and wonderful urban walks and bicycle trails. The Abbotsford Convent Arts Centre is a stroll along the beautiful river bank of the Yarra River known as "Birrarung" – "river of mists". The area has great cultural and spiritual relevance to the Wurundjeri people.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in David and Bix's beautiful, warm and welcoming home. It is packed full of character with period features and a gallery of artworks but with all the modern conveniences you require. Clifton Hill is in an enviable Melbourne location so close to the city whilst within a short stroll to the serenity of the Merri Creek and Yarra River bushland and tracks. We truly loved walking the streets for its historic charm and character whilst also sensing a strong sense of community with a social conscience. We feel like we barely scratched the surface of this area and all it has to offer! David and Bix were great communicators making the swap a seamless process and they left our home in immaculate condition. We would highly recommend this house swap.
