Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in London, Stoke Newington
I'm a musician (singer), originally from Perth, WA. I've been living in London most of my adult life. My home is available for a swap. Check out Swap ID 31022. My son and grandson live in Melbourne so I'm a frequent visitor to my home country. I try to visit each year, so am always on the look out for exchanges that are close to where he lives in Northcote - or at least a 30 minute bike ride away. My partner, Andy, is also a musician. He lives in Suffolk in a beautiful thatched pink cottage, which dates from 1700s & in walking distance to a country pub! His house is also available to stay in. Check out Swap ID 31163 for details So an exchange with us will give you a great contrast. Busy city life combined with the peace of the wonderful countryside.

Our home has the best of both worlds: right in the middle of cosmopolitan city living with all the facilities of London just up the street; set in a leafy and quiet area, with a large park around the corner. I routinely watch foxes in my garden, listen to parrots shrieking and walk in the park to spot the latest birdlife. The house is original Victorian, with fireplaces, wooden shutters & floors. We have the usual electronic wonders to enjoy time at home but beware, we don't have - or want - a dishwasher! The house is spacious, with a large double sitting room with an open fire, a piano if you play. The kitchen/diner is where most of the conversation takes place, and opens onto the garden with a light airy study also opening onto the garden. It's warm and comfortable in the winter and in the summer has a large garden and patio to lie out in. Our neighbors are always happy to help.
At the moment the house is set up with two double bedrooms and two studies, one of which has a sofa bed.
Note that the location of the house on the map is not correct. It puts us on the Strand! Best to search for my area, Stoke Newington.

The local area has become very fashionable, so there are lots of great restaurants/cafes, music venues and interesting shops up the road which attract visitors. Your nearest shopping area is a 3 minute walk. And this is London, so we have all the benefits of multi-cultural neighbours and foods from round the world, activities, music and theatre nearby. Transport links are easy - the buses, at the top of my street, queue up for customers which get you into the centre of London. And the main tube & train networks can be reached within 20 minutes to get you around and outside London. The Piccadilly line, which goes directly to Heathrow, is our local tube.
