Hi, myself, Veronica and Henry, we are new to house swapping but have had house sitters in our home for many years. We have just retired and are looking forward to traveling all over Australia swapping homes. Our home at Zilzie, Emu Park is 9years old, 400 mtrs walk to 3 close beaches, Emu Park is a very quite beautiful seaside coastal holiday town with about 3000 local residents.

The House

Our home is a 11 year old 2 story house with beautiful gardens set high up to catch the views and sea breezes in a very quite and safe friendly neighbourhood. We walk our 11 year old female blue healer to the beach every day, 400mtrs to a choice of 3 glorious beaches which are usually quite.

The things we love about living here

The temperature here most of the year is cool, not humid like we get in Rockhampton, our nearest big town 40Klms away. Yeppoon is only 15klms away along the coast north and is another very nice place to visit with most of the essential shops, restaurants ect that you will need. Emu Park has its own IGA, hotel, doctors, coffee shops , 2 bakeries, most of the things for every need for our quite village lifestyle.

The Location

Emu Park is a beautiful and quite coastal town of around 3000 residents, has a village atmosphere where the main stream tourists haven't found yet, where the locals know each other and are very friendly. We have the singing ship, Anzac walk, local fishing and crabbing spots in Coorooman Creek and Great Kepple Island near by. It is a quite and beautiful place to live, enjoy or retire.
