We recently retired after running our own company for more than 20 years. We moved to the Gold Coast hinterland for its easy access to lush tropical nature, while not being in the middle of high-rise crowds of Surfers Paradise. We love our home as it is modern, light filled yet private and styled to reflect our interest in art, architecture, gardening, cooking, dining, wine, music, reading, ballet, theatre, any artistic pursuit in fact. With time to focus on hobbies such as travelling we would love to swap houses with people who will care for our home as well as we will care for theirs. We’re looking to explore Australia with our Toy Poodle. He’s well behaved, house trained and spoilt; he travels everywhere with us. We are happy to water gardens and/or pots & collect mail but cannot look after other cats and dogs as he is not used to having to share! At home we spend our time walking, gardening, cooking, swimming, reading, drawing and visiting art galleries, theatres and music performances on the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

Equipped with two comfortable bedrooms, study, media room, 2 bathrooms and laundry, specifically designed for sunny Queensland weather with ducted air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout.
A drive-in garage gives you internal access to the spacious and light-filled open-plan sitting –, dining room and kitchen. Patio doors can be flung open to expand your living area onto a large covered, private patio.
The modern kitchen is fully stocked as we love cooking with all the mod cons you need to make cooking a pleasure.
Depending on your needs two rooms will be used as a storage area to free up space for your possessions.
Bedroom 1: queen bed, ensuite with dual sink, shower, toilet, walk in wardrobe and smart tv.
Bedroom 2; queen bed and built-in wardrobe
Bathroom 2; with bath, shower and sink. The toilet is in a separate room.
Study nook; where our FTTP (fibre to the premises) modem resides. Wifi speed is in excess of 50Mbps throughout the house. Access will be provided to streaming services; Apple, Netflix, Disney, Binge, Amazon Prime.
Kitchen; modern open plan kitchen with lots of storage. Walk-in fully stocked pantry, double sink, double door fridge, dishwasher, induction cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee machine, slow cooker, air fryer, blenders, etc.
Laundry; with doggy door for a medium sized dog. Washing machine and sink, a dryer is situated in the garage. There is a large drying rack outside at the back of the house.
Patio; sliding doors can open the width of the sitting room to access an under-cover patio. There’s a gas bbq and small coal bbq to cook outside, or just relax on the day bed under the fan or around the 8 seater outdoor dining setting. Potted plants create a private, tropical area.
Garden; the house is fully fenced and surrounded by a pebble walk-way abutting magnolia trees planted on two sides of the house. We mow the grass lawn outside the fence once a month and can organise a gardener to keep the grass under control
