Hidden Valley is a glorious stone cottage sitting in the midst of 50 beautiful and historic acres. It is set in pristine surrounds, on the edge of the National Forest and 2ks from your nearest neighbour. Whilst only 20 minutes to the local fishing village of St Helens, your privacy and relaxation are assured. You are lord of all you survey. The views are breathtaking, the air oxygen pure, and the starry nights beyond belief.
The house includes a stone cottage hewn from the stones on the property. It has cathedral ceilings in the master bedroom, and is finished with local woods. The house includes a modern wing which flows elegantly onto the stone cottage and is aesthetic, elegant, well-appointed and eminently comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large lounge with a wood burning stove, and a sizeable kitchen. At the front of the house and overlooking the valley, there is an expansive glass conservatory, with a charcoal bbq. A second gas bbq for grilling steak is at the back door. The kitchen is filled with every preparation and cooking device conceivable in order to easily get the best of the marvelous local produce.
The house itself is enclosed within its own single acre paddock. Beyond this, sheep graze freely in the outer paddocks. Outside the fence line an abundance of wildlife, led by hundreds of wallabies, wombats, and Tassie Devils meander from dusk around the outer fences.
There forest is easily accessible for walking and fossicking. There is also a mapped trail through the ferns and waterways at the bottom of the valley, which feels like a journey into a Jurassic wonder land (without dinosaurs). See if you can spot the resident platypus in our spring fed dam.

Sadly we will most likely never get to repeat this life style of holiday again on Kevin and Tina's farm here in Tasmania such a big contrast to our subtropical lifestyle at home and it was a was truely a unique holiday which everyone should experience. To spend time on their charming little property hidden away in Goulds Country, so pristine with magnificent natural forest little gullies lush with ferns, Famous mountains and waterfalls all in close range to explore. We were thrilled to sight an Albino Roo passing by. The friendliest sheep and sweet little lambs all in the field below the warm homestead flooded with sun light and warmth through large windows. The fires at night we will miss dearly. Such a great way to visit and see all around Tasmania and still have a base to return to. Kevin and Tina were exceptional house swappers and we thank them very much.
