We're a well travelled (54 countries) professional couple who have rave reviews on Airbnb as exceptionally clean and respectful guests. We can't swap if you have furry pets that you want to bring to Melbourne- sorry. Christina is a clean freak (hence the no shoes inside policy) who speaks 4 languages, very handy with so much international travel. Jason is an infrastructure architect who doesn't like clutter. When you move in, you can expect a dust free, sparkling and hygienic apartment. We cannot accept pets due to allergies and the damage they cause to floors and furniture. But, we can look after your pet in your home, if it doesn't live inside. We love the great outdoors and are keen walkers, cyclists, roller- bladers, swimmers, snorkelers and divers. Our apartment is our pride and joy. Please look after it, like we will look after yours.

An amazingly spacious, clean and modern apartment with a pool, spa, sauna and gym. Wooden and tiled bathrooms throughout - no carpet due to allergies. Sorry we don't accept pets of any kind. We operate a no shoes policy. Socks or bare feet only. Our hard wood floors are in pristine condition, even though they were put in 14 years ago.
The main bedroom and ensuite has air conditioning/heating. The spare bedroom does not. The open plan living and kitchen area has reverse cycle heating and cooling. The King bed is actually 2 singles which can be taken apart easily. The main bedroom is a Queen sized bed, the spare room has a King sized bed. All bedding is 1000 thread count cotton and the towels 800gsm quality. These have been laundered at 60 degrees. There is a shower in the ensuite and a bath tub in the main bathroom. However, it is a condition that you DO NOT RUN A BATH, as this will cause structural damage to the apartment below and a repair bill of over $1000 dollars. Please respect this, if you want to soak in hot water, our communal spa is much better anyway!
You will need to bring your own devices. The computer in the study is not to be used. Wi-fi of course will be provided. There is a brand new luxury queen sofa bed in the third bedroom/ study. Not shown in the photos is our indoor jungle of plants, which need minimum maintenance.
There are 2 tandem car park spaces in the building, operated by a secure swipe system. The swipe system also gives you access to the resort like facilities mentioned above. We can swap cars too if you'd like. We have a manual Peugeot 406 Coupe (2 doors) which seats 4.

Port Melbourne is an affluent, some might say, swanky suburb located just 4kms from the bustling city of Melbourne. Situated at the end/start of tram route 109 which whisks you into the city in about 10 mins. Port Melbourne has its own sandy beach.The Princes Pier is one of the most photographed historical landmarks. It's a great place to catch a sunset shot for keen photographers.
Beach activities in season include, sailing, kitesurfing and of course working on your tan.
Despite being a city suburb, there are many green spaces and of course the beach adds to the sense of space.
A plethora of shops, hairdressers, beauty and nail salons, restaurants and cafes to dine at or take away.
2 supermarkets which are easily walkable(1 IGA and1 large Coles) and a huge new Woolworths in Fisherman's Bend about , a 25minute walk away. South Melbourne Market (a seafood lovers' paradise) is just 2kms away.
Every third Sunday there is a farmers' market in the Gasworks park.
Local theatre productions at the Gasworks theatre.

Christina and Jason made our first house swapping experience a dream. Christina was so easy to communicate with and made us feel at ease, even making us videos of how to get into their apartment and use the coffee machine! We met them to exchange keys on route, which was a lovely way to know who we were exchanging with. Christina and Jason have a beautiful apartment, with all the amenities. Our girls especially loved the pool and spa in the building. The location exceeded our expectations. Super close to the beach, playparks, tramline, and of course some amazing places to eat! I would definitely endorse Port Melbourne as a great place to stay when visiting the city and surrounding areas. Christina and Jason also took excellent care of our house, it was quite hard to tell that they had actually stayed, as the place was so tidy when we arrived home! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Christina and Jason's apartment and all our dealings with them. The apartment is in a great location with everything you need within walking distance, as well as being close to the center of Melbourne. This was our first house swap, and we were delighted with the respect they show for our house. We thoroughly recommend this fun loving couple and their beautiful space.
