The House

The House

Located on the gorgeous Bribie Island, our home is 500 metres away from the famous Pumicestone Passage offering kilometres of a pristine and calm beach. The closest boat ramp is only 700 metres away.

The house is a lovely renovated 1 storey brick house. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 new luxurious bathroom and a very unique wooden cabin in the garden. We will lock our office with all of our personal belongings in it so only 2 bedrooms will be available.

Additional features: 1 double lock up garage, automated irrigation system, plenty of space at the front or in the driveway for a boat/caravan, a large outdoor deck, a fully-fenced, lush and green garden, vegie beds, quiet neighbours and is dog and child friendly.

The bedrooms have air-conditioning, most rooms in the house have ceiling fans, there is a lot of natural airflow and light throughout the house. All windows have security screens, most have plantation shutters and the front door has a pet door. The house is NBN connected, solar equipped and has a reverse osmosis water filtration system (all water coming onto our property is filtered).

The master bedroom offers a very comfortable king size bed. The kids bedroom has a single size bunk bed. The living room offers plenty of sitting space, natural light and a woodstove. Please note that we have no TV.

The kitchen is well appointed and was recently renovated. Very practical, it has a large 450L LG fridge and freezer, an electrical oven, a 4 burner electrical cooktop, a dishwasher, a double sink with pull-out spray and boosts more than 6 metres of beautiful timber benchtop and loads of appliances (non toxic air fryer, dehydrator, toaster, blender, non-toxic cookware & microwave in the garage if needed...). All drawers and doors have soft close mechanisms and we have an additional chest freezer in the garage.

The garden is flat and offers plenty of sub tropical deliciousness, such as pawpaws, passion-fruits, bananas, citrus, guavas, pumpkins, chokos, nightshades, beans and herbs (shallots, mint, basil, rosemary, lemon balm...). We apply permaculture principles and and are strict organic growers. 30 sqm north-facing deck with dining table (seats 6 people) and lounge area (seats 4).

The laundry has a washing machine, dryer and a chest freezer.

The cabin is made with 90% reclaimed materials, it truly is unique and a work of art! It is equipped with electricity, internet cable, fridge, L shape sofa, which turns into an extra-large and long double bed and a table and chairs for 2. Outdoor shower + portable toilets.

It was an absolute pleasure to host Emilie and Cyrille and their two beautiful young daughters and to have the pleasure of staying in their lovely and very cosy home on Bribie Island. Their space was absolutely perfect for myself and my dog and I was able to have my friends stay for some of the time which made the experience even better. Their home was so perfect and had everything and more. It was just a magical space. My holiday was wonderful I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect family/home as my first house swap experience. I felt privileged to have such a beautiful family in my home who looked after it so well.
