Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Redcliffe, North Brisbane, Brisbane, QLD
Hi I'm Ray and my wife is Kathy. Our adult children (who may or may not join us when we swap) are Frances and Conrad. Kathy and I are both retired, after lengthy teaching careers. Kathy taught early childhood special needs students and I taught science and maths in high schools. We love camping, with all its associated activities, cycling and gardening (esp me). We became interested in house swapping after successfully managing an AirBNB unit in our house. So far, we have had five excellent house swaps; one of four weeks in New Zealand, one of four weeks in Upstate New York, one of 4 weeks in BC Canada, one of 1 1/2 weeks in the UK and one of three weeks in Robe, South Australia.

Ray and Kathys house is in a good area of Kippa ring- very close to Redcliffe Hospital and 2-3km from the sea front and shopping street. Great market each sunday . The train station is close by and the buses come past at regular times. They have an amazing patio which is screened on 3 sides and the breeze just waffles thru all day. A very pleasant place to relax in in or in my case sleep.. lol. The bats at night fly around which you can watch and birds are a singing when you wake up in the morning...

We found this home immaculately kept and very convenient for our needs. It has a lovely enclosed back verandah which is ideal for Queensland weather. Despite being near a main road it was very quiet.

What a wonderful first time swap this was. Ray and Kathy and not forgetting brother Ken in every detail they were wonderful. I highly recommend this house swap and the area.

I was fortunate in finding Ray & Kathy for my first home swap. Because they're so friendly, flexible and communicative, we easily set our swap via email and 8 hours of video chat. They arranged airport transportation and continued to be responsive throughout the month of our swap. I found their Redcliffe home to be very comfortable and well situated to explore the surrounding area, but I also enjoyed many bike rides, markets and sunsets on the peninsula. The fruit bats in the adjacent botanic garden were fascinating. Kathy and Ray were good stewards of my home while I was away; you can trust them with yours.
