We are retired professional couple in our 60s. We love living by the sea and particularly like the temperate climate and all the activities Port Stephens has to offer. Our 3 bedroom home is comfortable, spacious, has amazing views and is a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach. We are looking to swap for city experiences, particularly Melbourne and surrounds. We visit Melbourne's often to catch up with children and grand children. We enjoy the footy, concerts, art gallery and foodie experiences in Melbourne. We have done many successful house swaps have found it works really well. We are currently interested in a swap to South East/Central Melbourne/Mornington Peninsula that includes Christmas 2024. Our place is 2.5 hrs drive from Sydney, 1 - 1.5 hour flight from Melbourne and 30 minutes drive from Newcastle/Port Stephens airport (numerous flights to Melbourne daily). Port Stephens coaches offer an express service from Sydney Central that will bring you to the bottom of our street. There are also local buses from Newcastle train stations. We have a 14 year old begalier dog, called Jasper (Jazz) . He has a very placid nature and is very well behaved. We are particularly interested in swaps where we could bring Jazz or have him stay home with you. We are also happy to look after your pets. We keep our home maintained to a high standard and would look after yours in the same way. We are non-smokers.

Our house has water views looking north across Port Stephens towards the entrance to Myall Lakes and Tea Gardens from all the upstairs living areas including the main bedroom. Light filled open plan living areas. Main bedroom with king size bed and ensuite, second bedroom with queen size bed, both bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs, a queen size sofa bed and ensuite (and foldaway single bed). Two spacious decks both with outdoor settings to watch the boats go by with ample room for entertaining. A Weber BBQ and a well equipped kitchen. Courtyard at the front and a spa in the back courtyard. We have body boards and snorkeling gear you are welcome to use, we surf regularly at One Mile beach and Birubi Point.

Corlette is next to Nelson Bay, overlooking the sparkling waters of Port Stephens with a lovely temperate year round climate. A quiet neighbourhood close to the beach and bush with plenty of opportunities for swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, windsurfing, bushwalking, whale watching (June to October), dolphin watching, kayaking, bike riding, eating out, golfing, relaxing and entertaining. An easy day trip to vineyards in the Hunter Valley.
Corlette is a 30 minute drive from Newcastle airport, with numerous daily flights from Melbourne, Sydney and regional centres. There is a bus from the airport to the end of our street. Port Stephens coaches runs a daily bus services from Central (Sydney) that again comes to the end of our street. Driving time from Sydney is around 2.5 hours.

We just returned from a lovely family holiday at Port Stephens. Barbara's house was a well-located, spacious house which was great for al fresco dining and relaxing. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the bike path into town. There was lots of space for my family to spread out and lots of local activities. Barbara was easy to deal with and accessible and Simon helped us happily with a few queries during our stay. I recommend her for a house swap at Port Stephens !

Lovely stay at Barbara and Simons in Corlette. Fantastic views overlooking the bay. Wonderful comfy beds and relaxing terrace to enjoy the view. Hosts very flexible and easy to contact. A great holiday in a very special place. Thank you

We had the most fabulous time staying at Barbara and Simon's house in Corlette. Their water views and gorgeous beach within walking distance were quite spectacular. There is also so much to do and see in such close proximity. We loved the whale watching from Tomaree Head. Their communication to organise the swap was excellent and they were great guests in our home. I can't recommend a swap with them highly enough!
