We enjoyed a wonderful home exchange with Peter & Gillian There were so many things that were great. We have home exchanged in many locations in Melbourne and this time we staying in Peter & Gillian's home in Mentone. We use the Mentone home to explore: 01. Australian Aviation Museum (Moorabbin) 02. Historic Fairfield Tea Rooms & Boathouse 03. HMAS Cerberus Museum in Cribb Point 04. The actual HMVS Cerberus in Black Rock 05. Laura & Charles Ferguson Museum (Mentone Local Museum) 06. Melbourne Museum 07. Fox Classic Cars Museum 08. Victorian Police Museum 09. Museum Of Chinese Australian History 10. Museum Of Immigration 11. The Dandenong Ranges Botanical Garden Park 12. Street Art in Black Rock 13. Street Art in Frankston 14. Street Art in Yarram 15. Camping for 6 days in Gippsland (east of Melbourne), staying in Wonthaggi, Korumburra and Tarra-Bulga National Park. 16. Maru Koala and Animal Park in Grantville 17, The State Coal Mine in Wonthaggi 18. The Wonthaggi Local History Museum 19. Coal Creek Community Park, A Living Museum 20. The Grand Stzelecki Track (100 kilometre ridge) in the Tarra-Bulga National Park, great for 'walkers' We are so grateful that Peter & Gillian loaded us their camping equipment (tent, sleeping bags, camp cooking equipment, sleeping mattresses, woollen blankets for extra warmth, picnic table. picnic blanket, in fact everything one could ever want for camping). We drove everywhere in Gillian's superb Honda Jazz car which was brilliant to drive. Many thanks to Peter & Gillian for thinking to use Busy Beaver Airport Car Parking. This off-airport parking service collected us from Melbourne Airport at the start of the Home Exchange and then drove us back to Melbourne Airport at the end of our Home Exchange. This process made it extremely simple to get to and from their home from Melbourne Airport. For overseas home exchangers, ease of transport is a huge plus and being able to use camping gear to explore the Victorian countryside was a huge plus as this dramatically extended our 'travel reach' to explore much more than just 'Melbourne'. Many thanks again Peter & Gilliam fora great home exchange, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend you to anyone looking for an enjoyable home exchange.

Lovely home, wonderful location near the beach, walking distance to great shopping centre and rail station. Gillian and Peter are easy going, down to earth lovely people who left our home in immaculate condition. We would welcome a future swap. Thank you Gillian and Peter for a truly enjoyable stay.
