Hi, we are Rod and Elizabeth. I have recently retired and Elizabeth teaches part time. We have two daughters that live in Sydney. We love Tasmania, it's natural beauty and all it has to offer and in particular where we live in Taroona. We enjoy cycling and walking either locally or for a few days around Tasmania discovering new places. We are happy to discuss car swapping and we have a dinghy down on the beach and bikes (1 electric) that you would be welcome to use.

Our house is quite secluded and surrounded by a large native garden. Being open plan the main room is light and airy, ideal for a relaxing holiday with it's adjoining verandah to soak up the stunning view. I can send more info and photos of the house and garden should you wish.

We live up a hill in Taroona within walking distance to beaches, a cafe, restaurant, park and a bus stop. It's a quiet, green neighbourhood and Hobart is a 15 min drive away. The comprehensive Kingston shopping center is 10 mins away and Salamanca Market and MONA are within easy reach; or further afield, there are wonderful walks to explore Tasmania's natural beauty.

We had a great stay in Rod & Liz's comfortable and spacious home, which has a deck with a superb view over The Derwent estuary and Eastern shore. The house is a short walk to a cafe Taroona beach and foreshore walk. There is a bus stop nearby with frequent buses to Hobart via Sandy Bay and south to Kingston. Rod and Liz were a pleasure to meet and swap with and left our home beautifully clean and tidy.
