Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Runaway Bay, Gold Coast, QLD
Geoff and Anne are retired and love home exchanging. When on the Gold Coast, we go swimming and walking and enjoy gardening, dining and spending time with family and friends.

Our home is located at the northern end of the fabulous Gold Coast 75km south of our state's capital, Brisbane . We are a short drive from the iconic Surfers Paradise beach and not far from the lush, green hinterland. Theme parks, world-renowned beaches and year-round sunshine are just a few of the reasons 10.5 million visitors flock to the Gold Coast each year. Please see www.goldcoastaustralia.com and www.visitgoldcoast.com for more information.
The area close to our home is great for walking, cycling, fishing, boating and all the water sports. We are in walking distance of the Broadwater (calm waters without surf). The Runaway Bay shopping complex is 10 mins walk and you will find all the necessary day-to-day shopping requirements there. The local bus goes right past the entrance to our complex
The famous Gold Coast surfing beaches of Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Burleigh (plus numerous others) are further South and are accessible by a short drive or by public transport. These areas also have fabulous shopping. restaurants and nightlife.
The major Theme Parks - Sea World, Dream World, Movie World - are only a half hour's drive away and the hinterland areas of Mt Tamborine, Binna Burra and Lamington National Park are all worth a visit. North and South Stradbroke Islands are also easily accessible from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. It is an easy drive to Byron Bay in the south and the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane.
It is a one hour drive south of Brisbane (6 lane highway) and the International Airport. (There is door-to-door bus service available at the Airports). There is also an airport at the southern end of the Gold Coast at Coolangatta (40 mins drive) with flights to other Australian ports, New Zealand, Fiji and Asia. Trains or buses service both airports.
