Healesville - 60 km east of Melbourne. Beautiful Yarra Valley wine growing region.

We are a couple who have been working in far north Arnhem land, Australia in an Indigenous community . Tony was am Asset Manager and I was Business Development Manager for a remote community. We have decided to take a break to catch up on a few holidays and take it easy for a while.

We have had lots of experience with house swapping for over 20years. All have been really positive and been fantastic to do. We always treat your house and belongings with respect as I'm sure you would the same. We love to meet people and share stories of travel. We traveled in 2007 to Europe for 6 months and visited 13 countries. Many of those were house swaps and another type of accommodation called Couchsurfing. This is another fantastic way of meeting meeting and finding out about their country and culture.

Our home is located in the picturesque town of Healesville, Yarra Valley 60 km east of Melbourne. The Yarra Valley is a wine growing region with beautiful views, great restaurants, easy access by public transport to Melbourne, good selection of national parks and gardens. It hosts the famous Healesville Animal Sanctuary which shows the Australian wildlife and forest. There are many bush walks and scenic drives available.

We would consider hosting a hospitality exchange at any time of year (You stay at our home whilst we are there & vice versa). This works well and can be a great way of meeting people.

About our House: Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, dinning room and kitchen with all the modern appliances needed. It is colourful and lots of artwork is displayed. It has a deck over looking the back garden which is a lovely spot for breakfast and coffee. You can see the mountains from the front bedroom. We have wifi internet connection but would prefer if you bring your own computer (as we use ours for work) unless we are there.
If we do an international exchange or a long distant swap we would be willing to exchange our car.

Yarra Valley, Wineries, Healesville Animal Sanctuary, bush walks, scenic drives, Tarrawarra museum of art (collection of Marc Beason) RAVC Country Club (Golf). 1.5 hors to cross country skiing (usually June onwards, would need to check weather conditions)
