Seeking house swap xmas 2010/new year period for somewhere between Noosa and Sydney. We need somewhere to stay from 28th Dec for a week or so although our house will be available from 23rd Dec if you prefer to start earlier.
We are a family of 5. We have three children aged 6, 5 and 1. We are looking to house swap as a means of having regular holidays with a comfortable place to stay and a place to explore the surrounding areas. We are a busy family but we respect the homes and property of other people and would be very careful to look after your home. We have Grandparents in Noosa so we are always keen for a swap to that area. We are also interested in any other swaps for odd weekends or school holidays.

About our House: Our home is light and airy, family friendly and centrally located so it's so easy to get around to explore Sydneyor visit family.

We have a large, modern, open plan kitchen and living area which opens onto a large rear deck. The deck looks over the spacious garden and beautiful heated pool. The deck is perfect for enjoying morning tea or an afternoon beer while watching over the kids in the pool.

There are 4 bedrooms. The main bedroom has an ensuite and walk in robe. Bedroom two is very large and has two single beds. Bedroom three has a cot and a single bed. The single bed or cot can be moved from there if necessary in to the fourth bedroom/study. There are various fold out beds and mattresses available also if necessary.

The kids toy room with second TV/DVD is directly off the living area and also opens onto the rear deck for easy indoor/outdoor play. It is very well stocked with toys toys toys, DVD's, videos etc etc.

The pool is heated and also has many toys to play with. The trampoline is always fun and a large concrete driveway down the side of the house is perfect for bike riding, ball games etc. The lawn area is easily large enough for running and playing, cricket, soccer etc. The sand pit is a favourite for trucks and castles.

The house is very well set up to stay home and enjoy some relaxing down time or head out with quick access to all Sydney has to offer

Naremburn is on Sydney's North Shore and very close to the great village of Crows Nest for lots of great local shopping and fantastic restaurants of every kind. The little shops at Naremburn also have wonderful coffee, pizza, bakery, Thai, fish and chips, bottle shop, chicken shop and hardware.

We are five minute walk for the bus stop to the city, Balmoral Beach, Bondi Junction or Chatswood. St Leonards train station is a 12 minute walk or it's a 5 to 10 minute drive into the city depending on the traffic. Chatswood is a massive shopping centre and is only 10 minutes drive away.

If driving we have very quick access onto the Expressway to the Harbour Bridge/Tunnel or the Lane Cove Tunnel and along to the M2. The airport is about 20 minutes from here. It's about 20 minutes from here to the F1 which will take you north to the Central Coast or Hunter Valley

It's an easy walk from here to two great playgrounds, sporting fields, tennis courts or Willoughby Leisure centre. It's a longer bush walk down to Tunks Park on the water. There is also a bike track dowm the bottom of our street that goes toward the city or in the other direction to Lane cove National Park. It's great for a bit of an adventure on the bikes.

We are within a 20 to 30 minute drive to either the magnificent northern beaches or the very cool eastern beaches. We usually go to Clovelly in the east or Narrabeen to the north. Balmoral Beach is only about 15 minutes drive or the bus goes there. A bus goes to Manly beach from St Leonards train station.

It is so easy to get to the city from here that really anything you want is within easy access. Darling harbour, Cockle Bay, Sydney Harbour, ferry rides, Botanic Gardens, city shopping, restaurants, clubs, pubs, museums, theatre, movies. It's all close! You can either catch a bus, train or an easy drive with quick access from here onto the expressway over the Harbour Bridge.
