Profile: Couple
We are a family of 4. I work at the local high school and my partner is semi-retired. We have 2 great kids, a son 16 and a daughter 14, both of whom know how to pick up a tea towel and are respectful of other people's property.

We love our friendly town and really enjoy the convenience of walking or riding our bikes a few blocks to the shops. This is a great location - Brunswick Heads beach, river and cafes is a 10 minute drive away, Byron Bay is 15-20 minutes and the Gold Coast and Brisbane 1hour and 2 hours drive north respectively.

About our House: Our house is weatherboard and approximately 100 years old situated on a 1/4 acre block with mature trees including a large mango. The garden is a work in progress. Up the back of the block is an unrenovated studio, perfect for teenage sleepouts.

This is a quiet street with an open grassed reserve opposite which leads down to the Brunswick River. Being close to the river means there are cooling summer breezes. The house itself was renovated last year and is fully insulated with ceiling fans, new kitchen and bathroom. The master bedroom is large, and there are 2 other bedrooms, an enclosed verandah with louvre windows and a combined dining/lounge area. The front verandah is perfect for relaxing with a book or glass of wine, and there is also a small back deck.
