We are filmmakers in our early forties with a three-year-old son and a friendly, loving cat named Gilbert. We are both easy going and have had fantastic successful house swaps in the last few years. We will treat your home with the utmost respect knowing that it is your personal place. Our son is very gentle and not a wrecker in the least. He is more interested in reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.

About our House: This house is situated in a quiet, leafy street and was designed in 1969 by a well-respected Melbourne architect from that era named Geoffrey Woodfall. The house is incredibly spacious with huge living and dining areas that all flow into one another. All of the rooms have large high windows, which create a home filled with natural light all day long. There are two courtyards, west and east, as well as a massive back yard too! There is no shortage of outdoor rest and/or recreation space.
One of the living rooms is dedicated as a childs play area and would be especially handy for people with young kids. It is filled with toys, puzzles, games and lots of other great things that will keep kids happy for hours.
Although the house is quite large and has 3 bedrooms, there are only two bedrooms available for a house swap.
A rather large master bedroom with an en-suite, as well as a spacious second bedroom. This room has a standard single bed plus a kids single bed, which is only really suitable for toddlers and small children.
As the living room can be closed off with a solid timber sliding door, this room can potentially become another bedroom for two, by utilising the couches.
This is a light and peaceful house with lots of space to move around in and many pockets to curl up in and get comfy.

We are situated in North Caulfield on the border of East St Kilda. This is a very central suburb It is a five-minute tram ride to Carlisle Street Balaclava, fast becoming Melbournes most renowned cafe strip with great shopping too. A few more minutes on the tram takes you to the heart of St Kilda and its great restaurants, shops and beachfront walks.
We are close to a number of great parks and playgrounds. Worth mentioning is Caulfield Park, a large public park with lots of great features: a tranquil lake, three playgrounds for kids of different ages, sporting ovals, tennis courts, running and walking track. We are also close to Albert Park Lake where you can watch the Grand Prix in March (if that's your thing) play a game of golf or take an air balloon ride at dawn over Melbourne.
We are only seven kilometres ( a mere 12 minute train ride) from the CBD where there is a wealth of attractions to experience. Great shopping, aquarium, cafes, restaurants, galleries, museums, live music venues, clubs, bars, sporting venues, theatres, concert hall, Australian Centre For The Moving Image, Federation Square, and much more.
