Profile: Couple-Retired
I am a recently retired chartered accountant. We have one of our children in Sydney. We have travelled extensively in Asia and Europe but less so in Australia. We will continue to travel to Europe in the Australian winter but want to visit our daughter and see other parts of Australia in spring or autumn. Our priorities are Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and occasionally somewhere else; so try us

About our House: Our house is a newly built comfortable 3 bedroom, study, 2 bathroom home with a large open plan living/ dining/kitchen. The three bedrooms have Queen beds. The house is set up for the two of us plus guests.
The house and ourdoor facilities are designed to take advantage of the Perth warm weather with a pool and pool edge Bali style gazebo as well as a large Alfesco under the main roof of the house with large bifold doors from the open plan living to the Alfresco.
We use the pool area as much for 'relaxing by water' as for swimming.
The overall feel is a relaxing 'indoor/outdoor resort style environment'
The house has all the modern convenientces including a large screen LCD with Foxtel HD package plus Broadband access via WiFi.
Wembley is an inner Perth suburb with mostly older houses ( except for a few such as ours) on 700 Sq metre blocks. Wembley is 5/10 minutes to 'anywhere'. It is 5 minutes drive to the beach, 10 minutes to the CBD, Swan River, Kings Park and Northbridge entertainment district, 15 minute walk to the shopping and restaurant areas of Subiaco and Wembley and to Lake Monger, the largest lake in Perth and a magnificent wildlife habitat and peaceful morning walk.
Public transport is 200 metres, as are two enjoyable Italian Restaurants.
We have only lived in the suburb for 3 years but enjoy its central location and the friendly neighbourhood.
